In coordination with the UAE Permanent Mission and the IAEA an Interregional Training Course on the Implementation of National Requirements for Nuclear Power Programmes was held in Abu Dhabi.
The course offered perspectives from experts from Finland and Turkey on the role of regulator and operator in defining and implementing national requirements for the management and operation of a Nuclear Power Plant, including operating requirements for safety, emergency response, security nuclear material accountancy and waste management. It was the third training course to be held on the topic of specific interactions between regulator and operator in the context of the national regulatory framework.
