The UAE signed with the IAEA an Integrated Nuclear Security Support Plan (INSSP) .The Plan was signed on 20 September 2012, in Vienna, by Ambassador Alkaabi, and Mr. Khammar Mrabit, Director for Nuclear Security, IAEA.
The Integrated Nuclear Security Support Plan (INSSP) which provides the basis for a comprehensive and sustainable approach to addressing specific national nuclear security assistance needs, will assist the UAE entities to enhance its nuclear security measures and framework, through various assistance activities from the IAEA.
The INSSP plan was developed jointly with the IAEA and UAE stakeholders and identified a set of actions and to support UAE efforts in the area of nuclear security.
