UAE Permanent Mission and the Embassy in Vienna Turns Lights Off to Mark Earth Hour

The Permanent Mission and the Embassy of the United Arab Emirates joined the Earth Hour global movement and turned off the lights and power of its building on Saturday, 19 March, between 8:30pm and 9:30pm in Vienna, Austria.

Through this gesture, the Permanent Mission supported the world’s largest environmental campaign, which took place around the world to raise awareness on climate change and on the need to protect the environment.

Celebrating Earth Hour every year, the UAE dims lights across the country including at the Burj Khalifa, Burj Al Arab, Emirates Palace hotel in Abu Dhabi and other major buildings. UAE residents also switched off their lights to shed a light on the need for climate action.
