UAE Ambassador Hamad Alkaabi, Permanent Representative to the IAEA, delivered a lecture on the UAE’s Nuclear Policy at the National Defense College (NDC) in Abu Dhabi, on 1st of June.
He met with this year’s class of 36 students from the NDC to discuss issues related to nuclear policy, nuclear energy, and non-proliferation. The lecture has also addressed the UAE Government’s nuclear policy approach and progress in the development of the nuclear energy programme.
Students comprise brigadiers and colonels in the armed forces and in the Interior Ministry, as well as high position officials from ministries, government institutions, and the private sector.
The NDC aims at preparing military and civilian leaders for their role in assessing challenges to national, regional and international security.
