A group of Permanent Representatives to international organizations in Vienna visited Kalinin nuclear power plant in Russia from 5-6 February, 2013.
The two-day tour of Klainin NPP, under the auspices of ROSATOM and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation, was organized for selected Ambassadors of the UAE, Russia, Romania, Republic of Korea, Lithuania, Jordan, Japan, Iran, Hungary, Germany, France, Egypt, Czech Republic, China and Armenia.
The agenda of the Kalinin NPP visit included a meeting and technical tours of the plant industrial site, training center and Public Information Center.
The trip was an opportunity to get a close look at Russian nuclear technology and witness operation practices. It was also an opportunity review steps taken by the Russian nuclear industry post Fukushima.
